MOSCOW (AFP) — US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said here Monday he would discuss with Russia's leaders the possibility of imposing new sanctions on Iran.
Asked on Echo of Moscow radio if he thought additional sanctions were needed he said "yes" and added he would encourage Russia to follow the European Union, which last week imposed new sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
Tehran, Iran, Jun. 30 – At least people have died as a seven-storey building in north-west Tehran collapsed on Monday.A further 20 are currently trapped under the rubble, state radio said.The apartment block collapsed in the early hours of the day in Tehran’s Saadat-abad district. All those hurt in the accident were workers, officials have said. Emergency rescue teams have been unable to pull anyone out of the debris.

AN IRANIAN businessman has been sentenced to death on charges of spying for Israel and targeting the Islamic republic's disputed nuclear programme and its military.
The Tehran court handed down its sentence at a time of high tension between Israel and Iran and speculation of a possible Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear installations.
