I have been thinking a lot lately about what a lot of us report on our blogs/websites. The focus seems to be on what the Islamic Regime doing wrong, an individual gets arrested, another one is subjected to torture, someone is executed, people dissapear for months and these are things we report on. These may help the people in trouble, however what we lack on is PREVENTATIVE measures.
What we don't report on and what I think can have a preventative effect is HOW the Islamic Regime is able to do what it does, how are they able to identify activists? how do they able to find out about what is going on inside prison? about any organized movements among political prisoners, how do they know what is taking place and how are they able to stop it from taking place?
What I would like to see more of, both from myself and others is focus on the the structure of the Islamic Regime and the techniques they use to trap activists, they way the gather information and evidence against them.
I think prevention can be more effective than damage control after the fact.
Food for thought...

9:07 PMExcellent idea. I think many techniques that they use are similar to the SS officers in the Soviet Union.
