Tehran - Iran Monday released two Swedes who had been held on charges of espionage, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said. The IRNA state news agency quoted the spokesman as saying the two were pardoned after intervention by the judiciary and constant diplomatic contacts between Tehran and Stockholm.
