Kianoush SANJARI, a student activist and blogger was re-arresed on Oct. 7th while preparing reports on protests in support of Ayatollah Broujerdi. He is currently being held in ward 209 of the Notorious Evin prsion and is tortured and interoggated several times a day. Bellow you can find the Amnesty International Urgent Action in support of Mr. Sanjari. Please help by putting pressure on various human rights organizations and international bodies to pressure the IRI and help free Mr. Sanjari.

Kianoosh Sanjari is being held incommunicado at an unknown location and Amnesty International fears that he may be at risk of torture or ill-treatment.Kianoosh Sanjari, a member of a group known as the United Students Front, had allegedly gone to the home of Ayatollah Boroujerdi in the capital, Tehran, to prepare a report on the clashes that were taking place there. He was reportedly arrested along with scores of Ayatollah Boroujerdi’s supporters and transferred to an unknown location. Kianoosh Sanjari has been arrested several times in the past. When he was only 17 years old in July 1999 he was arrested during student-led demonstrations against the closure of the newspaper Salam (Peace). He was subsequently held in solitary confinement for many months. Prior to his recent arrest, he lived in Tehran and was reportedly closely monitored by the authorities.

    Hello Sayeh. I don't know much about this individual, but I do know enough about free speech. As long as it isn't used to incite murder, then no one has a right to deny anyone what they say.

    unfortunately there are so many more people like Mr. Sanjari in Islamic Regime prisons who are there because of their thoughts, beliefs and writings and we don't know their names or anything about them. The IRI is counting on this very fact and does what ever it pleases with these prisoners, because they are unknown to the rest of us.

    I don't believe that he is, I am sure we would have heard something if he was. We just need to work hard to keep him alive.
